TEAMS

Each team is devoted to developing an iOS or Android app (sometimes both!) for a local non-profit. Each team has various positions that are tailored to each member's specific skill (coding, designing, etc.). The teams meet either on Monday or Tuesday at 7:00pm in EPIC.

COMMITTEES

In addition to our app teams, we also have various committees to ensure the success of every facet of our organization. We meet every Wednesday night at 7:00pm in EPIC.

Education Committee

The Education Committee is in charge of holding workshops open to the BU community, provide resources to learn about mobile development, and to provide help and guidance to our members/teams during office hours.

Operations Committee

The Operations Committee's main goal is to plan events for the GAI community. Our committee facilitates team relations through these events. One of GAI's biggest events that we are currently planning is the Global Appathon, a 12 hour hackathon that encourages GAI teams to work together to complete their apps and is also open to the BU community. The Operations Committee fosters the GAI community and to help the teams work well together.

Marketing Committee

The Marketing Committee is in charge of updating GAI's social media and website, marketing GAI's events and workshops at Boston University. Our goal is to increase to visibility of our organization on campus in order to develop more apps for more local non-profits.

Business Development Committee

The Business Development Committee (Bizdev for short) is in charge of establishing relationships with non-profits in the Boston area, provide career services for GAI members and plan fundraising activities!
